Private Home Care – STL is an organization dedicated to keeping senior citizens in their home environment for as long as they wish. We not only want to improve the experience of aging, but we want to celebrate and embrace it by offering a service that is fully customizable everywhere. We do this by assigning only small caseloads for our Care Coordinators. We also have a “One-Client-One-Caregiver” concept that ensures all our caregivers work consistently.
We created PHC so that all of our aging adults within the St. Louis area would have a personalized home health care program that was truly exemplary and one of a kind.
Our program had its genesis in a desire to keep things as simple as possible. We wanted our service to be fully customizable because we knew that keeping it that way would ensure our clients would be in their familiar home surroundings. You see, we took a look at the home health care trends in St. Louis, and we immediately noticed one theme was true: when it comes to home health, our clients want a team that not only values consistency and transparency but one that also values the unique needs of their clients. This might sound simple, but in reality, it is quite a challenge to deliver this level of home health care. We knew that the initial model was to conduct a home and client assessment and then to send out a caregiver that the client may have not met before. That model did not appeal to us simply because it takes extra time to build a rapport with each client.
This is one of the main reasons why we at Private Home Care – STL focused on a new approach. Our One-Client-One-Caregiver Concept ensures that each client will have their own caregiver(s) and Care Coordinator right from the get-go. We also knew that giving each Care Coordinator a small caseload would help them feel better equipped to deliver personalized care and cater to each client’s unique needs. The Care Coordinator is available to all of the caregivers they oversee on a 24/7 basis. By the same token, they are also available 24/7 to all clients and their families as well. Management, communication, and visitation with clients will always be administered on an ongoing basis.
Although this model is just 3 years old, we see that 80% of our clients are either on a full-time live-in basis or a 56 hours every week basis. We continue to work hard on this program because we know our service provides an alternative for those who want to avoid going to a nursing facility or want to supplement being in either an independent or assisted living facility.
This is what sets our team at PHC STL apart. We wanted to pioneer a truly different approach to caring for senior citizens in their homes. On one hand, we knew that they desired the peace of mind of remaining in their home. On the other hand, we realize they would need skilled and experienced caregivers. We are proud to say that we have developed our services into a well-organized method, and it is one we would not hesitate to enroll our family members in as well.
